After a month off on account of my no-good silly old hock swelling, I travelled with a spring in my step and a song in my ears. The latter, of course, a result of FarmWife's eternal tunefullness, and the former because, quite frankly, I love the trail! FarmWife got a taste of my Mule of the Wind trot, which is really something to behold. It is rather like this, except with a higher degree of ear-flop. Unfortunately, FarmWife put the kibosh on my Mule of the Wind canter, citing lost physical fitness (mine) and high percussive forces (the gravel road's). I could have done it. There's nothing at all the matter with any part of me.
Since I haven't quite managed to raise the necessary funds for FarmWife's Gift of the Decade (though, with the help of my beloved fans, I am getting closer!) I decided to give FarmWife a smaller but no less appreciated gift. Encouraging her to stop and harvest a beautiful flower bouquet, and standing like a statue during her collection of it's various blooms, was my contribution to her material wealth today. Just call me Fenway Bartholomule, Floral Designer and Trail Mule Extraordinaire.
Now for a rousing tune: "♫♪Happy birthday to you, Mr. Fenway loves you! Now give him an apple and carrot sticks too! ♫♪"
HAPPY BIRTHDAY FARMWIFE! (and thank you for providing your clerical services to FB. )
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday Farmwife. I can sing too!

Last week, my trainer-lady was riding me and I was doing well (1st video).
I started to act up so she decided to lunge me for a bit. I wanted to ignore her so I sang at the top of my lungs (2nd video).
After a few minutes, I decided to pay attention and indulge trainer-lady (3rd video).
Happy Birthday. I am glad the weather broke enough for you to enjoy a ride
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday Farmwife. And happy day to you Fenwick.
ReplyDeleteThank you all! FarmWife had a lovely day, and I'd like to think that it was due to my careful preparations. LBR, you neigh with much muleness! Was your father by any chance strangely angular, and with big ears?
